Dorothy Lillian Taylor

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Dorothy Lillian Taylor (nee Roberts), at the wonderful age of 102 on March 8, 2022.  She lived a joyful, vibrant and incredible life and she was our family treasure! Mom had a full-time job (Recording Secretary for the Scarborough Planning Board), raised three children, looked after her ailing husband, hosted many parties and celebrations for family and friends, was a whiz Scrabble player, travelled the world and learned to use an iPad at the age of 98! Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband, Herb, and her two brothers and their wives: Bill (Doll) and Gerry (Sis). Left behind to mourn are her three children – Barb (Lynwood), Doug and his former wife Gail, and Don (Yvonne) and Mom’s four grandchildren – Steve (the late Kelly), Denise (Kevin), Kristy (Jeff) and Rob (Katrina).  Also left to grieve are her eight great grandchildren – Taylor, Jordyn, Jackson, Lilly, Wesley, Julie, Millie and Mac. She will be sadly missed by her best pal, Lil, and her many nieces and nephews, who loved their Aunt Dot a great deal. A heartfelt thank you to the team at Adelaide Place Retirement Home, where Mom lived happily for the last nine years. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. There will be a private family Celebration of Life at a later date.
