Donald Bruce Barry

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, Husband, Pa, Big Pa, Uncle, Brother and friend to so many who had the pleasure to be part of his life on Sunday February 8, 2026, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre. Don was the beloved husband to the Late Regina Barry (predeceased 2008) and cherished partner to Jean Butterworth. Dad to Judy Hutton (Steve) and Kim Williams (John). Pa to Ashley (Rob), Nick (Danielle), Andrew (Kendra), Matt and Jordan (Jessica). Big Pa to Riley (Julia), Tanner, Annabelle, Graham, Brooke, Peyten, Colton, Julian, Oliver, Brody, Quinton and baby Eloise. A very special person to Linda (Dale),Jeff (Carolyn) and their families. Dear brother of Iris, Byron (Carol), Sharon (Boyd) and the late Holly, Marie (Harry), Maisie & Arnold (Anne). Brother-in-Law to Bill Bullen, Orval McLean and the Late Marie (Bob Reed) and the Late Albert (Yettie Bullen). Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Predeceased by Grant and Greta Barry, Grace Robinson (Peter) and Ina Barnett (Ted). Best friends with Pat and Barb Callery who will forever cherish the many great memories they shared for the last 56 years.

Dad loved life, especially trips with family, trucking, jamborees, camping, old country music, a good meal (free LOL) and of course, the Toronto Maple Leafs. 

The family would like to extend our thanks to the ICU nurses and doctors at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

In keeping with Don’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeland Funeral Centre on February 28, 2026, from 1PM-3PM with eulogies at 2PM. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes.
