David Edward Brumbill

Passed away peacefully at home. Born in Manchester England on August 16, 1936. David leaves behind his devoted wife of 37 years Donna Brumbill (nee Polley). David is lovingly remembered by children Stephen Brumbill (Pam), Susan Thom (Doug), Kari Black (Scott), Kelly Black (Stephen) & Jason Black. Proud grandfather of Megan, Olivia, Dayna, Eeva Robyn, Michael, Jessica, Sarah, Zoey, Dana, Zach, Jordyn, Nicholas, Wendy, Reese & Connor. Great grandfather to Wren. Predeceased by sister Elizabeth “Jean” Lee. David was loved by many family members in England. 

David immigrated to Canada in 1974. He settled in Don Mills, then Oshawa while he worked in Toronto as a watch maker for Seiko. David & Donna had a love for travelling & together travelled the world. When he wasn’t travelling, David liked to spend time with his family. He was so proud of his children & grandchildren. He was known for his sense of humour & the practical jokes he would play on those he loved. David could often be found watching Coronation Street & Manchester City football games. David was an avid fan of Manchester City and often talked about his hatred for the Manchester United Team. 

In keeping with David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeland Funeral Centre (19 Moose Road, Lindsay Ontario, K9V 0A2) on Tuesday July 22, 2025 between the hours of 2PM - 4PM. Speeches will commence at 3PM. 

Donations in memory of David may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
