Our family is saddened to share that Dad passed peacefully on Saturday the 13th of November, 2021, at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay Ontario. Cornelius, beloved husband for over 61 years to the late Elizabeth. Beloved father of Cathy (Allan Teel), Nancy (Don Russell), Sue Van Houdt and John Van Houdt.  Loving Opa of Janice, Carol, Cindy, Tim, Sheley, Johan, Liam, Rhys, Alexander, and the late Travis (1992), also to his Great Grandchildren, Alexandra, Mathais, Nathan, Audriana, Sophia, Olivia, and Sam. Cornelius will be remembered always by his siblings Sjaan, Margaretha, Adolf, and the late Johannes, Theodora, Jacobus, Henk, and Anton. A proud long-time retiree of General Motors, Oshawa. Dad always spoke of how grateful he was for the sacrifices and efforts so many Canadians made in the Liberation of Holland. We will honour those Canadians by suggesting a donation in memory of Cornelius to the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre Toronto, or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 519, Coboconk.
