Clint Harrison

HARRISON, Clinton “Clint” Blake passed away unexpectedly on November 12, at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, following a decades long struggle with COPD.

Clint was the dear son of Walter and Jacqueline Harrison. He will be deeply missed by his siblings: Terry (Jullie), Lorie (Rick Mundy), Lea (John Sweet), Alvin, Kelley (Ken Coulter) and Glenn (Kim Lazar). He was predeceased by his sister Shelley and brother Mark. He will be missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who held him dear. A lifelong bond with his cousins was a source of support and comfort. He will be especially missed by his beloved Jack Russell Terrier – Gibb.

Clint was an avid outdoorsman. He found ultimate joy sitting in a fishing boat with Gibb waiting for the next big catch. Equally, he enjoyed multiple annual hunting trips in northern Ontario with both friends and family. Utter bliss was found by spending a day out hiking through various woodlots.

In 1989, he achieved his most cherished accomplishment – his sobriety – which he maintained until his death. Clint’s humble and quiet nature endeared him to many. His network of friends was vast. Despite enduring hardship throughout much of his life, he remained kind, warm and free of bitterness.

Appreciation is extended to the dedicated medical team from both Toronto General Hospital and Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled at Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay, ON for Friday, November 21. Visitation will occur from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 P.M.
