SMITH, Cecil Clifford (“Cliff’)

January 14th, 1925 - October 1st, 2023
 

Passed away at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, ON in his 99th year. Cliff was predeceased by his beloved wife of 74 years, Jean Florence (McCracken) Smith (2020) Loving father of Stephen Smith (Cheryl) and Sharon Birmingham (David) all of Lindsay. Cherished Grandfather to Leslie Borody (Darryl) of Sarnia, Teri Huckfield (Brent) of Hamilton, David Birmingham of Toronto, Derek Birmingham of Halifax and Kelly Vernon (Jos) of Woodville. Great Grandfather to John and Melanie Borody & Raiden and Octavia Vernon. Cliff was a proud member of the Masons, Eastern Star and the Shrine. He was honoured by being presented with his 75-year Masonic pin and certificate on September 29th with his children in attendance. Cliff will be missed by his family for his love of Golf, his memory especially for all things family, his ability to ask great questions right up until the end and that he loved a good Scotch.  Arrangements have been made through Lakeland Funeral Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay. On Tuesday, October 10th there will be visitation at 10 am, followed by a Masonic Funeral Service at 11 o’clock. There will then be a Funeral Service with Reverend Ed Call Officiating. A Reception is to follow. Burial to follow at Fenelon Falls Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the Kawartha Community Paramedics Program and the PSWs from Community Care who supported Cliff while living in his own home.
