Bryan, we love you and extend our deepest condolences to you.

We can't be there with you tomorrow, but we're with you in our hearts. We will visit you this summer so you can grace us with your presence and share with us the miracle that was--and always will be--Chere.

Bryan - I am so sorry to have word of Chere's death. At Yonge Street Meeting, we received word, through a Friend from Peterborough.
We haven't been in touch for some time now, but I will always remember your warmth and good friendship when you lived in Caledon and attended Orangeville Worship Group.

I hope you are well-supported by friends and family at this difficult time.
Holding you in the Light - Barbara

I know Chere as an amazing, loving soul. She really touched my heart deeply as I got to share with her and learn about her journey. She is a remarkable bright light of God who now is free and soars the heavens as her journey continues. She leaves behind footprints of grace and love for all to see and follow. These words brought me great comfort when my father translated (died) a few years ago. I share them here in gratitude for the beautiful life of Chere and in celebration of the love of Chere and Bryan.

Gone From My Sight
Henry Van Dyke

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship, at my side,
spreads her white sails to the moving breeze and starts
for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength.
I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck
of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says, "There, she is gone."

Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast,
hull and spar as she was when she left my side.
And, she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me -- not in her.

And, just at the moment when someone says, "There, she is gone,"
there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices
ready to take up the glad shout, "Here she comes!"

And that is dying...

Travel well dear Chere. With all the love there is... Rodney
