Passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his cherished family. Born in Bowmanville, Ontario to parents Bruce Francis (Joan) & Elizabeth Francis (Maurice). Charlie leaves behind his loving wife Kristina Francis (nee Wood). Proud father of Michael (Karlie), Anthony (Sarah), Kenneth (Sam) & Ashley (David). Cherished grandfather of Phoebe, Ross, Carlisle, Elijah, Rosander & Sadie. Survived by siblings Gord Francis (Tracy), Irene Francis & stepbrother Eugene Davis (Audra). Remembered fondly by his mother-in-law Joan Wood & brother-in-law Chad Wood (Kathy). Predeceased by father-in-law Ross Wood. Nephew of Jewel Moore & Ed Francis (Darlene). Shared memories remembered by Stephen Smelt (Colleen) and their children David, Ronald & Nadine, the Brooks Family, the Argue family, Jason & Sandra Wood, Wayne & Jamie Quibell, John & Mary Galloway.
Kristina Francis and her family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the medical team at Toronto General Hospital, the Paramed team, Nurse Practitioner Diana Duclos King and all their family and friends that gave their support during Charlie’s illness.
In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial visitation at Lakeland Funeral Centre on May 30th, 2026, between the hours of 11AM & 1PM. A formal service will take place at 1PM. Reception will follow. A burial of ashes will take place at a later date at Burnt River Cemetery.
