Catherine Ida Black Kehoe(nee Grozelle) of Lindsay, Ontario. Catherine has previously resided in Hastings and Prince Edward counties and later in Mount Carmel Newfoundland before returning home to her hometown of Lindsay, Ontario. She had many friends and close connections through her family and employment in all of her homes.
With heavy hearts we announce that Catherine Ida Kehoe passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday September 29, 2023 at the age of 75.
Catherine was loving daughter of Rachel and Gilbert Grozelle ( both previously deceased ) and cherished sister to Josephine St.Thomas (Bill), Dorothy Heaslip (Doug), Ted Grozelle (Linda), Debbie Grozelle (deceased). Catherine was the proud mother of Julie Gosling Sheehey (Chris), Connie Mounteny (Richard), Kenny Black , and predeceased by her daughter Vicky Black Parrott. A loving, doting grandmother to Chad Mounteny (Kerri), Troy Mounteny, Zach Sheehey (Cara), Brittany Sheehey (Jason), Brooklyn Sinclair (Adam), Nathan Mounteny(Rico),Emily Secord (Jordan), and Lexee Black. Her 10 great grandchildren Owen, Cloee, Jack, Grace, Lydia, Adalyn (deceased), Silia, Bradley, Madeline and Gregory. Catherine was greatly loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In accordance to her wishes, we will be not be having a traditional service but instead will be holding a celebration of life on October 21 at 2 pm until 6 pm at Visual Sports Bar at 63 Kent Street in Lindsay, Ontario.
To honor Cathy the best way possible the family wishes that you live life to the fullest, work hard, love hard and play hard laugh often and never take tomorrow for granted. Cathy wanted everyone dear to her to know that she loved you all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made in honour of Cathy’s precious and beloved great granddaughter Addy (predeceased, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) to Baby's Breath Canada, A Grief Support group or to the Kawartha Lakes Humane Society, in honour of Cathy’s beloved cat Rosie.
