Carol Jean Cameron

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Carol Jean Cameron (nee McClelland) on January 23, 2023, peacefully while sleeping at her home in Lindsay  Ontario. She would have been 80 this year on May 13th. 

She is predeceased by her late husband Arthur Alexander Cameron, the love of her life, never remarrying.  She was a loving mother to her two daughters Sara Cameron (Dennis Rea) and Shannon Stirrett (Kent).  The best Nana to her grandsons Alex Rea, Jack and Noah Stirrett, who brought her so much happiness.

Carol was born in Toronto to the late Audrey and Joseph McClelland on May 13, 1943. She was the first of their eight children.  Carol was a beloved sister to Nancy Johnston (predeceased Ron), predeceased Wendy Walsh, predeceased Heather Lyons, Sandra McClelland, Joey McClelland (Margaret),  Jody Raciot (Luc) and Penny McClelland. She was a sister in law to Ross Cameron, Bruce & Shelley (predeceased) Cameron, Lorne & Jean Cameron, Anne Marie Melvin, and Barry & Noel Cameron.

She was a dear cousin, beloved aunt, friend and honorary Nana to many. 

Carol liked to keep busy, volunteering at various events and being a member of the Lions Club. Her recent return to Lindsay allowed for new relationships and roles to be formed, having quickly become a member of the social committee at her place of residence. 

Her energy and love for life will be missed by all.
