Camillia Christina Valleau (nee Sutherland)

Camillia Valleau passed away peacefully at Extendicare Lindsay with family by her side. Camillia was in her 97th year. 

She was born in Toronto to much loved parents Jean & David Sutherland. Beloved wife of 67 years to the Late Arthur Talcott Valleau (Predeceased 2014). Much loved & cherished mother of the Late Wayne Valleau (Predeceased 2012) (the Late Lea), Glenn Valleau (Helene) Garry Valleau (Val) & Cheryl Gummer-Scobbie (the Late Larry Gummer & the Late Jim Scobbie). She was deeply loved by her grandchildren Cathy Garbutt (Farrell), Marteen Valleau, Shawn Valleau (Lisa), David Valleau (Predeceased 2021), Michelle (Jeff), Andrew Gummer (LeeAnn), Leanne Valleau, Michael Valleau (Lisa), Jenn Gemmill (Raymond). Loving great grandmother to 22. Predeceased by her 2 dear sisters Jean McMurray & Georgina Watson. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Camillia will be remembered by her dear friend Jean. 

Camillia met the love of her life, Arthur, at a dance hop in 1944 & married in 1946. They moved to Belleville & settled down to life on a dairy farm. She was always an avid animal lover so her love for farming was natural. In 1964 the family moved to a farm on the outskirts of Lindsay, where Camillia resided for the rest of her life. 

The family would like to thank all the nurses & staff at Extendicare Lindsay for all the exceptional care & love they gave to our mother. They all went above & beyond & we the family are so grateful for their loving care of our mother. 

A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at the Belleville Cemetery.
