Bill (William Almonte) McCracken of Victoria Place, Bobcaygeon, passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay Ontario on April 26, 2026, in his 96th year.
Bill leaves behind his beloved partner Marie Irwin.
He is now reunited with his cherished wife Janet Elizabeth McCracken.
Deeply missed by his children Eleanor Atkinson (Bill) & Ken McCracken (Bonnie).
Proud grandfather of Lloyd Atkinson (Nikki), Ryan McCracken & Stephanie Atkinson (Claude).
Great grandfather to Violet McCracken, Morgan Atkinson, and Charlie McCracken.
Very much loved by Marie’s family: Ann Burdette (Brian), their children Sean and Emily, and Kathryn Mattison (the Late John) and their children Jordon (Diana) and Ben.
Survived by brothers Eric McCracken (Joy) and Royce McCracken (the Late Joan).
Predeceased by sister Doreen Sparrow (the Late David).
Bill will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
Donations in memory of Bill McCracken may be made to Kawartha Lakes Conservation, The Hunters and Anglers Association, or a charity of choice.
