Passed away peacefully at Victoria Manor, Lindsay on Monday, August 24th, 2009 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Anna for 48 years. Loving father of Barbara (Doug Bowman) of Dunsford and Michael of Dunsford. Predeceased by his parents Simon Finley Toomey and Mary Toomey and his sisters Alberta Ferguson and Mary Toomey. Survived by brother Stan Toomey of Toronto and sisters Geraldine Robinson of Lindsay and Josephine LeBel of Lindsay. Joe will be sadly missed by his many relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay, on Wednesday, August 26th, 2009 from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow.
