Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29th, 2009 at the Ross Memorial Hospital in her 74th year. Predeceased by her husband Harlan. Loving mother of Dwayne and his wife Marleen and Joy Spier. Proud grandma/nana of Cassandra (Mark), Matthew, Jonathan, Brett and Kelsey. Great grandmother of Joshua. Daughter of Gwendolyn and Clifford Curtis (predeceased). Sister of Beverley Bazinet (Allan), Dianne Preston (Ken) and Herbie Curtis (predeceased). Sister-in-law of Hazel Curtis, Marilyn Westlake (Tom) and Doris Hills (Wes). Fondly remembered by relatives and many nieces and nephews. An active member of the Omemee community, Barbara will be missed by her many friends including those at Bethel United Church. As per Barbara’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial Service to take place on Saturday, October 31st, 2009 at 11:00 am at Bethel United Church (Bethel Road, North of Highway 7). Reception to follow at church. Private inurnment to take place at Emily Cemetery.
