Barbara Diane King

KING, Barbara Diane (nee Birch) – Passed away peacefully on Sunday March 17, 2024, in her 80th year.

Beloved wife of Cliff King for 57 years, loving mother to Scott (Debbie) and Wendi (Kevin) and devoted grandma to Scotty (Carly), Shayne, Madison (Brandon) and Mackenzie (Eric).   Survived by her mother-in-law Gladys King and sister-in-law Linda VonGrad (Dennis).  Predeceased by her parents Cliff and Claudia Birch.  Barb grew up in Huntsville, Ontario before moving to Scarborough and enjoyed a lifelong career at Bell Canada, until her retirement to the City of Kawartha Lakes. Summers were spent with family and friends at the trailer in Ennismore or the cottage in Viewlake.  She will be thoroughly missed by Cooper.  A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre for their dedicated care and compassion in Barb’s final days.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Janetville Community Centre on Saturday, March 23 from 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.
