Joan passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023 in her suite at Carressant Care Nursing Home with her only daughter present. She is survived by: Daughter Nancy G. Chopin, Grandson Mathew G. Chopin, Great Grandson Trenton W. Chopin, Sisters Mrs. Verna Flack of Penticton, B.C., Mrs. Lillian Edwards of Pitt Meadows, B.C.and Mrs. Sharon Needler of Newmarket, ON, Brother Donald Larke of Kitchener, ON. She was Aunty Joanie to four generations of Nieces and Nephews. She outlived Sisters Mrs. Marlene Dwyer of Long Island, NY, and Mrs. Shirley Piper of Guelph, ON . Brothers Mr. John Larke of Kitchener, ON and Mr. Stanley Larke of Kitchener, ON, Grandson Mr. Theodore M. Chopin, Nieces Mrs. Melanie Davies of Bradford, ON and Mrs. Margaret Davis of Peterborough, ON. There will be a Celebration of Life at the home of Nancy Chopin at a later date.
