LEE, Stephen Geoffrey
It is with great sadness that the family of Stephen Geoffrey Lee announce his passing on March 28 2018. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his wife and dance partner of 60 years, Irene and their children Mark (Shannon) and Paul (Debbie). Steve will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Edward, Katherine and Morgan, his brother Michael (Agnes), his nieces, Rebecca and Melissa, and his nephew Scott. Steve was predeceased by his precious granddaughter Megan. Steve was born in Manchester and as a young man enjoyed swimming, fishing, soccer and held the regional boxing record for his weight division. He worked at variety of jobs including helping his mother Nellie at their pub “The Paragon.” It was in Manchester where he met and married Irene. In 1973 they embarked on the adventure of a live time when they moved to Canada. It was here that Steve and Irene met their lifelong friends Les and Joy Aldis with whom they enjoyed many, many happy occasions. Inspired by their good friends Bob and Kath, Steve and Irene eventually retired to Bobcaygeon where Steve could partake in his passions; boating and golfing He became a member of the local legion, joined the dart league and sang in the church choir. Steve lived life to the fullest and was happiest in his backyard sharing laughs and a pint with his friends and family. He will be sadly missed by everyone who had the good fortune of meeting him. The Lee family would like to extend sincere thanks the staff of Victoria Manor for the care and compassion they showed Steve and his family in his final years. There will be a celebration of Steve’s life at a later date. Donations in Steve’s memory can be made to The Parkinson’s or Alzheimer's Foundations or your local Humane Society.
