SANDRA ELIZABETH CASSON SCOTT
Sandra died at the age of 75 on Sunday, 2nd April 2017, after a short battle with cancer. She is survived by daughter Karen, ex-husband and friend Lloyd, brother Ted, sister Barbara and brother-in-law Pierre, and extended family. She will be greatly missed. Sandra taught kindergarten for 30 years in Scarborough and Barrie. She lived by the adage that all you need to know in life you learned in kindergarten: be kind, listen, learn, and everything has a place. Instead of hobbies she had projects. She loved music, and obtained her A.R.C.T. in piano at age 14. She also loved animals and nature. Sandra looked for comfort in God's word and inspiration in song. A small graveside ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., May 6, at Uxbridge Cemetery (Highway 47), followed by a celebration of Sandra’s life from 2 to 5 p.m. at Little Britain United Church (Little Britain Road, south of Lindsay). Donations in Sandra’s memory may be made to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes at www.hskl.ca, or to World Wildlife Fund Canada at www.wwf.ca/donate/ (donations in Sandra's name will be directed to WWF's monarch butterfly work).  There will also be charity envelopes at the celebration.    

Mum, you are missed. We are grateful to have shared your mortal walk. As we used to say when parting: “toodaloo”.
