Robert C Putman

It is with deepest regret that the family of Rev. Robert (Bob) Putman announces his sudden and peaceful death in Lindsay, Monday, April 2, 2018 at the age of 72. Born in Cambridge (Galt), Ontario to parents Ada and Charles Putman (deceased). Cherished husband of Pamela (Doerr) for 49 years and will be dearly missed by sons Andrew (Gina) and Aaron (Cathy); granddaughters Alexandra, Hailey, Charlotte and Kaitlyn; sister Beverley Montague (Colin); sisters/ brothers-in-law Susan Eby (John), Michael Doerr (Wendy) and Janet Doerr; and several nieces and nephews. Bob received his BA at the University of Waterloo in 1968 and a Master of Divinity from the University of Toronto (Emmanuel College) in 1972 after which he was ordained into the United Church of Canada. He served 40 years in the pastoral charges of Pincher Creek United Church, AB; Pine River and Bethel United Churches, ON; Central United Church, ON; and Grand Bend United Church, ON. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Bob’s life will take place at Pine River United Church (Pineriverunitedchurch.ca) Hwy. 21, Ripley ON. on Saturday, April 21st at 2 p.m. with Rev. Vicki Johnson and Rev. Doug Kaufman officiating (visitation at 12:30 p.m.) In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Pine River United Church, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
