Retired from General Motors. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Saturday, December 12th, 2009 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Bettie for 50 years. Much loved father of Kevin (Tracey) of Bethany, Kelly of Lindsay and the late Ken Byers (Jane). Grandfather of Mathew, Tyler, Brett, James, Michael and Cassandra. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Mildred Byers. Beloved brother of Doris (Bruce Lywood) and sister Louann (Gord Quibell). Survived by his mother-in-law Ruby Black of Lindsay. Bob will be missed by all his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Thursday, December 17th, 2009 from 1:00 pm until time of service in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Reception to follow.
