Sarah and Darlene and Derek: I am sorry for the pain you might be feeling at this time. Rick was a very honest, hard-working man. His talents were many and whatever he put his mind to make was done with care and expertise. He demanded excellence of himself. His kindness has helped many individuals. I feel honoured to have known him. May he rest in peace. Love, Bev

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Sarah, Derek, and Darlene, as you grieve your husband and father. I'm also thinking of my grandma Kuipers, and the rest of my family. Much love to you all.

Sarah, Darlene and Derek. These are some of the hardest words to write, because I love you all so very much and never imagined I would have to say them. Rick loved each of you, he was proud of you, and he wanted only what was best for you. He taught you about strength, and that strength is what you need to hang onto now. He was a good husband and a wonderful father. He was a hard working man and was always available to help out his friends. Rick really was a good man, one of a kind, and he will be missed greatly by his many friends and family. My heart is breaking for each of you. I am so very sorry for your loss. Words can never heal the pain, but I hope they give you a little peace of mind.
