MAKINSON, Marilyn Elizabeth
In loving memory of Marilyn (Lyn) Elizabeth Makinson (née Vervaeke), who passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 in her 67th year. Marilyn is predeceased by her husband Robert; she is survived by her children Rob, Katie (Danny) Oppenlaender, and Michael, and was beloved Grandma to Brooklyn. Marilyn is survived by her brothers Wayne (Barb), Glenn (Libby), Randy (Helen), Larry (Susan) and her sisters Janice and Vikki (Brian) Poncelet. She will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews, family, friends, neighbours, and the thousands of students whose lives she touched as a teacher at Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Friends and family may call on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 7:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. at Lakeland Funeral Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay. We also invite family and friends to join us on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 40 William Street North, Lindsay to celebrate Lyn’s life and legacy.
