Lorraine Lillian Pennings

PENNINGS, Lorraine (nee Lovett) - passed away peacefully at Caressant Care, Lindsay, Sunday, June 5th. Lorraine in her 75th year was the beloved wife for 30 years to Hank, mother of Kathleen and Louise, step-mother to Jack, Michelle and Stephanie. Remembered by her 8 grand-children, extended family and friends. The family would like to extend their thanks for the care that Lorraine received while she was at Caressant Care. Predeceased by her parents Sheila Brumby and Reginald Lovett and brother Eric. Big sister to John, Elizabeth and Elsie. Lorraine trained to be a nurse at Jeffrey Hale Hospital in Quebec City and enjoyed her many years in service at Scarborough General and Centenary Hospitals. Throughout retirement Lorraine and Hank spent several years enjoying the natural environment of their home on Lake Scugog and travelling throughout the U.S and the Caribbean. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Valentia Community Centre in Valentia, Ontario, Saturday, June 18th from 2-4 pm.
