O’Neill, Leo Vernon entered into rest peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family in the early morning of Saturday July 6, 2013. He was the loving husband of Carol and adored father of Constance with her partner Liam Dwyer and Justin with his wife Christina and precious grandson Tegan. Leo was the devoted son of Cecil (predeceased) and Stella O’Neill and the loving brother of Ron and Judi of Downeyville, Eileen and Alan Holden of Burlington, Al and Dorina, Barry and Judy, Ken and Linda all of Downeyville, Helen of Lindsay, Janet and Peter Lynch of Reaboro and Marilyn and Mike Van Gerven of Downeyville. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Leo’s legacy is one of gentle love and strong loyalty to his close and extended family. He will always be remembered for his strength, courage and perseverance. His sense of humor and unique personality will always be an inspiration to his family, friends and the community that he called home. Leo had a special way of touching each one of us personally. Although he is gone, he will forever live in each of our hearts. Visitation for Leo will be at the Parker Funeral Home, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Wednesday July 10, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm with funeral Mass at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Downeyville on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery in Downeyville. If desired memorial donations can be made to St. Luke’s Church Building Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerfuneralhome.ca
