We are sad to announce that James Thomas Robertson passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 30th, 2013 in the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. Waiting for him in heaven was his daughter Kathy and granddaughter Christina to present him with his angels’ wings. James spent his life as a brick layer, carpenter and 20 years at Fleetwood Canada, where he retired from. He is predeceased by his parents Ida (Parks) and Sam Robertson, wife Ann Blodgette, Helen (Craig). He leave behind after 28 years his best friend and wife Valeria, son Ken and Phyll and their children Connie, Jamie and Tom, son John and Janet and their children Sam and Kim, daughter Kathy (predeceased 2010) and husband David Currins and their children Ryan and Andrew, daughter Janice and Jeff Dennie and their children Josh and Jarek, daughter Lori Smitheram and husband Josh Lackey and their children Christina (predeceased 2012), Shay-Lynn, Paula, Meg, Morgan and Taylor, and daughter Sheri Playfoot and her children Casandra, Kendra, Kerisa and Michael. He also leaves behind his great grand children Cole and Julia Robertson, Bryce, Hayden and Cameron Robertson. Also survived by his brother David and Barbara Robertson of Peterborough and their children Karen and Richard Egan of Calgary and their daughter Jennifer and husband Mike Fox and great, great niece Alexis of Calgary, Christa and Joe Myers of Kingston and Sandra and Kevin Read of Toronto and brother Vic and Linda Robertson of Kitchener and their children Nancy and Elaine. The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Monday, February 4th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, February 5th from 1:00 pm until time of service in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers in memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Epilepsy Ontario or the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes would be greatly appreciated by the family and can be arranged by Parker Funeral Home 705-324-1988.
