Iris Elsie Cooper

Iris Elsie Cooper 1928-2016 
Iris came to rest peacefully surrounded by her family and the “wingless angels in scrubs” at Ross Memorial Hospital on April 24. Iris was enjoying her 88th year.  Born in London England Iris's reputation for being a tenacious survivor stemmed from her early life having endured the great depression, the bombing raids during WW2 and the great smog before immigrating to Canada in 1955. After their wilderness adventure in Northern Ontario Iris and her beloved husband Derrick moved to Lindsay in 1958 to raise a family. Survived by her daughter and best friend Lisa Kaufman (husband Mike) and son Aaron (wife Donna) and loving grandchildren Lindsay and Mason.

We will be hosting a celebration of Iris's life at the Lindsay Golf and Country Club on May 15 2016 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
