MacIntyre, Gordon Bruce
Passed away peacefully Friday, March 5th, 2010 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay in his 64th year, his long time companion Pat and sister Dian were by his side. He was born February the 17, 1947 he was the second oldest of seven siblings. He was the son of Norman and Mildred MacIntyre of Woodville. Father of Michael of Kirkfield. Brother of Fraser (Betty) of Kirkfield, Ruth (Doug) Park of Hurkett, Jean MacIntyre (Mick Gross) of Buffalo, Dian, Peter (Karin) of Janetville, Bill (Marlene) of Cannington. Fondly remembered by all his nieces and nephews and all the ones that knew him as Poppa Gordie. Most of his life was spent living in the Woodville, Kirkfield area. At a young age he worked in the mines in Sudbury. He was an auctioneer, heavy equipment operator, construction worker for many years, and worked in the oil fields out west. As a young man he was handsome and fearless. He lived hard and died young. He was a man with a good heart and terrible addiction. “Until we meet again.” There will be a Celebration of Life in the spring with interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Kirkfield.
