After a five year battle with many health issues. Doug passed away at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay in his 79th year on January 20th, 2009. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Mary-Jane, his sons Mike (Jayne), Greg and step children Craig Christie, Sharon Beard (Dave) and Brett Christie (Joni) and his 8 grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. At Doug’s request a private family service will be held in the spring.
