Rooney, Doris Lorraine
Entered into rest in her 66th year, Saturday, May 16th, 2009 after a short courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. Beloved wife and best friend of Terry Rooney of Lindsay. Eldest daughter of Betty and George Vaughan. Much loved mother of Robert (Diane) Taylor of Florida, Edwin Taylor Jr., Timothy Taylor and youngest son Gordon Fitzpatrick (friend Alecia) of Elmvale. Devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren, Johnathon, Ashley, Justin, Christina, Robbie, Felica, Jamie, Sara, Cindy and 11 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Loving sister to Daniel Doman (Cathy), Malcolm Vaughan both of Dunsford, Diane Holder, Carol J. Grieve-Winiarski (James), Sandra Hood (-Cournoyer) (Christian) all of Lindsay, Barbara Reid (Holder) of British Columbia. Dear daughter-in-law of Sheila Rooney, Ajax. Sister-in-law of Robin and Cris Douglas, Donna Rooney, Phillip Rooney (predeceased). Loved by many nieces and nephews, friends and families. The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Thursday, May 21st from 1:00 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Interment at Riverside Cemetery.
