From: Gerd and Caroll Uschner

We were very sorry to hear of Don’s passing and we want to express our most sincere sympathies to you and the family during this difficult time. Don was a good friend and co-worker who understood the meaning of the word "team." Please accept our sincere condolences for you and the family. Don was a good friend and everyone that he worked with during his days at the City of Etobicoke called him by his nickname “Big Red”. For those of us that had the privilege of calling him "friend" outside of work, we were humbled by his kindness and compassion to everyone around him. He will be greatly missed and we are saddened by his death. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and his family and friends during this difficult time. With sincere sympathy, Gerd and Caroll

My condolence to you Brenda, and family upon Don's passing away. We are shocked and saddened to see him go...I worked with Don at the City of Toronto when he was a heavy equipment operator. He was consistant, careful, reliable and a joy to work with. Many employees Im sure had the utmost respect for him, his humour, compassion and gentleness as I did and many of our coffee breaks were spent laughing and enjoying family times...RIP Don!!! Hugs to all.

From: Jim McNab

I worked with Don on and off for 30 years and what I remember most was that he always made me smile, quick with a smile and a good word. We may have lost touch over the years, but that is the way I will remember him. They say that GOD takes the good ones first, well that's surely true in Don's case. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Sincerely Jim McNab

My sincere condolences on Dons passing. I worked with Don at the City of Etobicoke and more recently at the City of Toronto. Don was always a kind and gentle man who truly cared about others and the work he did. Don was a very capable, confident and skilled heavy equipment operator and a man of good character and integrity. As a co-worker and friend Don always had your back and I will be forever grateful to have had the opportunity of working with Don and getting to know him outside of work. R.I.P Don

Brenda, I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Don, he was a good employee but most of all he was more then just a friend. I had the privilege of working with Don at the City of Etobicoke, Don and I worked together on 336 the vac-all and snowplowing together, I cant thanks Don enough for saving my life on a snowy night at Bering yard, after I suffered Carbon monoxide Poisoning, Don rushed to my aid and picked me up and carried me inside and notified 911, if it wasn't for Don I would not be alive today, So I just want to say RIP Don.. You will greatly missed.

Dennis Leslie (Retired Heavy Equipment Operator City of Etobicoke)

P.S. Memories Live On forever.. 336 and Don will live forever.
