With family at her side, Diane passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer on February 18th, 2009 at the age of 64 years. Daughter of the late Leopold Belanger and Lucille Belanger (nee Gagnier). Diane was the wife and soul mate of Mel Dreger of Lindsay. Diane is survived by her son Dwayne Horslen and her daughter Kim Irwin and her husband Ken, step-daughter Denise Mallia (Tony) and step-grandchildren Michael, Marc and Paul, step-daughter Darlene Correa (Louis) and step-grandchildren Sarah and Nico and step-son Daniel Dreger and step-grandchildren Christopher and Eric. Diane will also be sadly missed by her four grandchildren Kyle, Dan, Lucas and Nick. Diane leaves sisters Jackline Lazure of St. Jerome, Que., Pauline Moreau of Val. David, Que., Diane Dalle of Montreal, Que., Ronald Belanger of Medicine Hat, Alb., Ginette Comte of Sault St. Marie, Ont., Bernadette Hennekam of Lindsay, Ont., and is predeceased by Nicole Fizzell of Timmins, Ont. The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road (corner of McLaughlin and Moose Road), Lindsay on Wednesday, February 25th from 1:00 pm until the time of celebration of life service at 2:00 pm. Reception to Follow. In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation for Digital Mammography would be greatly appreciated by the family and can be arranged by Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, PO Box 236, Lindsay, K9V 4S1. 705-324-1988.
