Benjamin Van Noppen

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
Psalm 116:15

Benjamin (Ben) VanNoppen from Oakwood, formerly Port Sydney, Torrance and Ajax, has been called to enter into the presence of the Lord Jesus, his Saviour on Monday, September 23. He is now relieved from his suffering, and has entered into heavenly rest.

Ben was born in Holland to a family of 8 children. He came to Canada as a young man and married in Ajax to his bride from Holland Engelina (Leni) Van de Ham in 1957.

The Lord blessed them with 5 children, 33 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren.
Ben was the dear husband of Leni for 62 years, the fun-loving dad to Rhoda (deceased) (Paul) Ehrat, Beverly (Paul) Hoddenbagh, Veronica Cawte (deceased), Stanley VanNoppen, Benjamin (Debbie) VanNoppen.

Ben loved to serve the Lord in various capacities like; a craftsman working at Beacon Bible Camp,  bringing children to Happy Hour, making plaques to hand out at fairs, going to prison to bring the good news of the gospel, etc.
 

Colossians 1:4  … we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints —  the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel  that has come to you.

12… giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.  For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Memorial service to be held on Friday October 4th at 1:00 pm located at Mackey Celebrations. Address is 35 Lindsay Street North, in Lindsay Ontario. Reception is to follow immediate after the service.

Cremation has taken place.
