Born February 5, 1935 at Toronto, Ontario.
Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on December 13, 2014. After a brief, but valiant battle with a rare form of leukemia, she's now no longer suffering. Loving wife of the late Thomas Bowins (1994).Survived by her brother, Ronald (Marie) Elliott of Brackendale, BC and sister, June Bradimore of Dowling, ON. Loving mother of Janeen (Jim) Davidson of Peterborough, Bill Quibell and Mike (Kathy) Quibell, both of Fenelon Falls and Terrilee (Dan) Walek of Mississauga and daughter-in-law Carolyn of Beeton. Predeceased by her son, Kenneth Quibell (2009). Stepmother of Sterling (Jana) Bowins, Lois (Les) Teer, Roy Bowins, Jim (Marilyn) Bowins and Sheila Bowins. Special Grandma to 22 grandchildren and GG to 19 great grandchildren. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Sylvia will be especially missed by her furry companion, Joey. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Ross Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their care and assistance in her transition. The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Wednesday, December 17 from 1:00 pm until time of memorial service in the chapel at 2:00 pm. If desired, in memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged by Parker Funeral Home, 705-324-1988.
