To Laurene and Family. We were shocked and saddened to hear of Rod's passing. I fondly think of the many years I worked with Rod in Rainbow Lake. I often think of the last time we saw you when Liz and I had dinner with you and Murray and Maryanne Nason at Topiaries Restaurant in Toronto - believe this was in 2002 or 2003. Such a classy meal and a good time with friends. Please accept our condolences and prayers. We know the times ahead will be difficult but hope you get comfort from your friends and family. God Bless.

We,friends and family, will all miss this lovely, gentle soul. However, we are grateful that Darren met and married Lorelei, our daughter, so that we did have the opportunity to meet Rod and Laurene and the extended family. Rod has become a good friend who always made folks feel welcome. He was also ready to give a helping hand with a project whenever a challenge arose. He has been a hard worker all his life, a good, faithful partner to Laurene for almost 1/2 a century, a great role model for his sons, and sure enjoyed his Grandchildren. We say,"Well lived, Rod. You did a fine job."
Aurevoir, till we meet again."
