Passed away peacefully on August 25th, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Cherished husband of Brenda of 36 years. Loving and protecting father of Jennifer Goodwin (Brian), Cheryl Schroter (Kevin) and Jamie Rhodes (Shelly). His grandchildren Owen, Emma, Brody, Savannah and Sydney were the apples of his eye and he loved them with all of his heart. Dear son of Yvonne and Bernard Rhodes (deceased). Remembered always by his brothers Donald and Larry (Glenda). Caring son-in-law of Bud and Helen Tripp. Sadly missed by many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 29th from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:30 pm at Wise Choice Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 19 Moose Road (corner of McLaughlin Road & Moose Road), Lindsay 705-324-1988. In lieu of flowers in memoriam donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Ross Memorial Hospital or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank Dr. Hainer and the Nursing Staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Ross Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care and going above and beyond.
