Oldack, Norma Frances (Uren)
Norma passed away peacefully on August 31st, 2013 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer that she met with grace, dignity and humour. Born in Timmins, Ontario on May 21, 1935; she was predeceased by her mother Frances Uren (1989), father Norman Uren (1971), husband John Oldack (1995), Aunt Marguerite Vince (2013) and nephew Ken McDowell (2013). She leaves to mourn her loss her sister Katie (Frank) Walters, her loving companion and partner Viny Duke, special family Ron, Barb, Janelle and Jason Baldwin. Aunt and Great Aunt to Bev (Doug) Grossler – Christopher (Melissa) and Devon and Great-Great Aunt to Hunter Grossler, Jeff (Susan) Walters – Jenna and Jessica, Carol (Darwin) Braun – Kim and Kristine -, Diane (Don) Genovese – Sean and Myles, Rose McDowell – Cameron, Rod (Kathy) McDowell – Brett and Nikki. Special cousin to Norah (Ernie) Embacher – Eric (Kate), Riley, Aiden and Zoe, Evan (Lacey), Darlene Vince, Mark (Jocelyne) Vince – Rene, Gabrielle, Nicholas and Denis. Special friend to Jane Bondaruk – Lucas and Christine Manley. Numerous other relatives and close friends. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay, Ontario on Friday, September 27th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Women’s Resource of Kawartha Lakes, Vicky’s Values Gently Used Clothing or the Palliative Care Unit at Ross Memorial Hospital. The family wishes to thank Dr. Stone for his care and special attention and the staff and Hospice volunteers at the Ross Memorial Hospital Palliative Unit for their loving care of Norma.
