Fothergill, Maureen (nee Mackey), passed away peacefully after a very brief illness on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay. Sadly Moe will miss her planned 80th Birthday Celebrations on Feb. 14th. Moe is survived by her loving spouse, Ross Sweetman, (predeceased by husband John Fothergill). Moe will be missed by her stepfamily, daughters Toni Morrison, Marilyn Kearn, Sharon Woodrow (Donald), Brenda Clayton (Jerry), Susan Fothergill, stepson Glen Sweetman(Lynne) and step grandson Thomas Morrison, Jenette Morrison, Sarah Zittrer and Nicholas Fothergill. Step great grandson Damien Hawco. Maureen’s family will receive friends for visitation at Parker Funeral Home, 19 Moose Rd. Lindsay, on Thursday, Jan. 24 from 10 am until the service at 11 am. Lunch will be provided at the Royal Canadian Legion, Lindsay Branch #67. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated.
