I am sad to hear John has passed away. John and Willy lived in our house when they first arrived in Canada. I was only a child at the time, but we all grew very fond of the Bloms. They continued to be friends with our family ever after. I lost my Mom on January 20th, 2017 and called to let John and Willy know of her passing. We had a phone visit and were aware of John's health situation. Simpson and I send our condolences to Willy, Connie, Mike and family. We are so sorry for your loss. He was a special man.

It was with great sadness that I read of John's passing. I will always remember when John would drop in to see my brother, Harold. They were great friends for so many years. My sincere condolences to Willy and all the family. Joan Cole Todd and family.

My favorite uncle RIP …..

Despite the distance having so good memories of you:
• The holidays in Canada when I was young: waterskiing, visiting the Indians, the Flower Park near the Niagara Waterfalls and the CN Tower, every day having breakfast and diner outdoors, and making boat trips, always in a relaxed ambience.
• Your visits to Holland, always carrying for your mom, taking her everywhere, having lunch with her in our Garden in Almere, so relaxing and fun, you were a great son for her.
• Your respect and trust in me, arranging everything after your mom had passed away.
• Our recent telephone conversations, you were always a good listener, a good advisor and we laughed about our slips of the tongue, in Dutch and English. You were always concerned about my boys, Nico and me. You naming me "hon", only you did. After these telephone conversations I was always a little bit upset, realizing that I would never see you again alive and no it is for sure …….

I will miss you Ome Han and you have a place in my heart, for always.

Dear tante Wil, Connie, Pete, Mike, Chris, Vanessa, Ted and Mitch …. sending my condolences to all of you and take care during these dark and sad days. Hugs and kisses, Bianca
