From: Donna Bergles

My dear Andrea, I am so very sorry for the loss of your loving dad. I know you were very close to him and I know how much that meant to him. As a parent, that sort of devotion is so very appreciated and cherished. He will always be with you, though in another form. You will carry him in your heart forever, though the pain of losing his earthly presence will take a long time to subside. Do not try to hide your pain or make small of it. It is after all what makes us human. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the celebration of life in August. I'm sure it will be a lovely event that he will enjoy from above, tremendously. Keep strong, Andrea. love, Donna

Kaaren: Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time. I have great memories of playing cards with Marty in Florida. He was definitely the best the euchre player I ever encountered.

From: Travis Philp

Best wishes to Marty's spirit and family. I knew Marty when I was a child and I remember his kind smile and the sparkle in his eyes that I didn't see in most people.

From: Gerry Dee

Marty did so much for me when I was a student at De La Salle. I wish I had kept in touch more and was very sad today to hear of his passing. I will never forget his kindness and humour. RIP Marty. Gerry

Marc & Katie and family. We extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. GOD be with you.

From: Rita and Don Firth

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all family members of 'Marty'. The Lemire cousins were very close to the Parent family as my dad and his mom were brother and sister. We were very saddened to hear of his sudden death. He will be in our prayers. As the webmaster of grampasworkshop.net, my husband Don was pleased to receive his woodworking project to post on his site. Here is a link to his page. Copy and paste it into your browser and you will be able to see it. http://www.grampasworkshop.net/lemireprj.html

Kaaren, We were very saddened to learn of Marty's passing. Our utmost condolences to you and your family. We have very fond memories of having the cottage beside you and Marty. Our kids enjoyed Marty's smiles, laughter and him letting them hang around him as he puttered around.
