James Raymond 'Marty' Lemire

Lemire, James Raymond,
known to all as Marty, at his home on Saturday, July 12, 2014 after a short but brave battle with cancer. With him were his devoted wife, Kaaren and his loving daughter Andrea. Marty is survived by his stepsons, Frank (Natasha) and Marc (Katie) and their children and his brothers William and Lawrence (Suzanne). Marty’s dedicated career as a teacher, coach and department head at De La Salle College “Oaklands”, Toronto spanned four decades. His retirement enabled him to enjoy such passions as bridge, horseshoes, boating and cheering on his beloved Blue Jays. At Marty’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Parker Funeral Home, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Sunday, August 24 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm with words of remembrance at 3:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Palliative Care Unit, whose remarkable staff eased the progression of his illness enabling family and friends to spend happy times with him.
