Gladys Annie Lafrance

Lafrance, Gladys Annie (nee Matthews) – With family by her side, entered into rest at Frost Manor on Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Marcel Lafrance. Mother of Sydna Stephenson, Susan Jackson, Donna Mitchell, Anne Cowan, Jody Cowan (predeceased), Wayne Cowan and Valerie Veenhof (predeceased) and step-mother of Angelle Lafrance. Survived by 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Cherished sister of Gerald Matthews (predeceased), Thelma Curtin and Bernice Noble. Predeceased by parents Russell and Lottie Matthews. Gladys will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends and all who knew her. A sincere thank you to all the staff, volunteers and co-residents at Frost Manor, who have let Gladys in to their hearts and have cared for her. Thank you to Dr. Petrosoniak for his support and care. A special thank you to Rev. Ed Call for his compassion at this difficult time. In keeping with Gladys’ wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at LAKELAND FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTRE, 19 Moose Road, on Monday, May 15th, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. until time of Service at 12:00P.M. Interment at Riverside Cemetery to follow. In memory of Gladys, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
